Recently, we designed an ‘outdoor living room’ upstate. The clients wanted furniture that was comfortable and inviting for entertaining, but most importantly, they wanted it to be interesting.
We had a three-piece set of bobbin framed furniture
in our Untouched Inventory.
The blue and lime green vinyl was dated but the frames were cool.
The original chairs were super funky.
We channeled that funky energy in a new direction.
We loved the vintage feel of these chairs, but didn’t want them to look too 70s. So we juxtaposed the funky frames with a contemporary and regimented fabric.
Outdoor furniture is difficult to get right–there’s so much emphasis on how it functions and survives the elements. But with the right eye and a lot of searching, your outdoor space can look pretty cool.
