There is nothing we love more than finding a well-crafted and well-worn piece of furniture and giving it new life through refinishing, reupholstery, and redesign. Bring us a family heirloom that needs restoration, a favorite sofa that needs new upholstery, or that moth-eaten mid century gem you scored at the flea market.
Craftsmanship
Every piece is designed and made in Brooklyn with our in-house upholstery team and skilled craftsmen in local workshops. We collaborate with local woodworkers, rattan weavers, lacquering specialists and frame makers who have been perfecting their craft for generations. Keeping all of our production local allows our team to have a high level of quality control throughout the process.
Sustainability
Sustainability is an important value at RRD. By upgrading vintage furniture, we’re keeping quality craftsmanship out of landfills and in your family for decades to come. We can also help clients make responsible choices by using locally sourced and eco-conscious textiles.
When you walk into a room and see one of our pieces, we want you to love it — and we also hope it feels good to think about where that piece started, where it’s been, and what it’s become.
Rachael of RRD is my absolute go to for my clients who are more open to letting designers do what they do best which is to DESIGN! Rachael has a cool inventory of vintage pieces that are waiting patiently for their next roll in life and while my client had falling in love with a stunning Joseph Frank fabric we had no place to put it. Of course Rachael put it to serious work on one of her one of a kind vintage finds. The result is now living its best life in my clients living room and my client is thrilled.
