Curvy. Sensuous. Dynamic. That’s how we describe the best headboards.
A good headboard provides comfort. It can also play into the architectural elements in the room or create an illusion of space.
The bedroom featured above has large vaulted ceilings. We decided a temple-shaped headboard would best suit the space. The curvy silhouette softens the lines of the ceiling. We made the headboard extra tall to fill the space and balance built-in millwork on the left.
Above, we designed one long wall-mounted headboard to connect two full size beds in a guest room. The extra wide headboard creates a sense of space in the room. This headboard is also versatile–it will still work if the clients decide to make it a queen or king bed down the road.
In this room, the headboard steals the architectural show. We designed an extra-wide, channelled headboard that also extends the full length of the wall. The velvet channels are extra plush and soften the room while providing a place to rest your head and read in bed.
When designing a bedroom we play with a headboard’s scale and shape to help define the space. Every detail is bespoke.
