Tribeca Work Space
Located in a classic loft building in Tribeca, NY, our client's occupy an open work space. We renovated the loft, making sure to maintain the industrial raw urban roots of the building while layering modern hits of color and textiles.
We created spaces with-in the open space by defining areas with rugs, furniture and most importantly, lighting. Upon entering there's a lounge area with a striped sofa. The chair rail across the room is painted a deep burgundy, a common thread throughout the space that carries your eye from one end to another.
Desks are scattered separately throughout the space creating private work areas.
We played into the exposed electrical vibe and added plug-in wall sconces for a more industrial feel.
We chose the minimalistic look of this five-piece pendant light to lean into the raw authenticity of the building. The center table is 43"high, meant for more informal meetings.
I wanted to create a sense of "refined utilitarianism". We focused on emphasizing function over decoration, while keeping the aesthetic clean and elevated.
